A life long resident of Berkeley and Charleston Counties.

Born in Charleston, South Carolina, Attorney Edward J. Dennis, IV was educated at Porter Military Academy, Porter-Gaud School, Blair Academy and completed his undergraduate education at the University of Virginia, Class of 1974. He obtained his doctorate of laws from the University of South Carolina Law School in 1977 and was admitted to the South Carolina Bar that same year.
